MicPlot — Terms of Service
Pricing · Terms · Refunds · Privacy · Open MicPlot
1. The service
MicPlot is software for planning microphone setups. The plotting tools work on your device and are free. MicPlot Pro is a subscription that raises the monthly allowance for AI import (reading photos, input lists and mic plots with a vision model) through MicPlot Cloud.
2. Buying Pro
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown before you pay and include or add applicable sales tax/VAT as Paddle determines for your location.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the link in your Paddle receipt email or from MicPlot → Settings → MicPlot Cloud → Manage subscription; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
New Pro subscriptions start with a 7-day free trial. Paddle takes your payment details at sign-up but charges nothing until the trial ends; cancel before then and you pay nothing. Education discounts are given on request and apply for as long as the subscription continues.
3. Devices and allowance
Pro is attached to the device you bought it on and can be shared with up to three of your own devices using a link code (Settings → MicPlot Cloud). The monthly AI allowance is shown in Settings; it resets on the first of each month and unused units do not carry over. We may adjust allowances or models with notice, and we may suspend access that is abusive or automated.
4. Your content
Your sessions stay on your device. Items you send to AI import are processed as described in the Privacy Policy and are not stored by MicPlot. You are responsible for having the right to upload them.
5. AI results
AI import produces suggestions that can be wrong — positions, heights, channel numbers and model names must be checked by a qualified engineer before use. MicPlot is a planning aid, not a substitute for professional judgement on a stage or rig.
6. Warranty and liability
MicPlot is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for MicPlot in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
7. Ownership and permitted use
MicPlot (its software, design, text, graphics and the MicPlot name) is owned by Losch Recording, LLC and protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use MicPlot for your own work, including commercially. You may not copy, republish, resell or host MicPlot or a modified version of it, use its code or design to build a competing product, or access MicPlot Cloud other than through the app (for example with scripts or by generating device codes to get extra free allowance). Your session files, plots and documents are yours.
MicPlot includes third-party open-source components that are licensed under their own terms, which take precedence for those components — for example the HEIC photo decoder (libheif via heic-to, LGPL-3.0), which you may modify and replace as that licence allows.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the consumer law of your country requires otherwise.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: Losch Recording, LLC · brian.losch@gmail.com.
